Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this promotional campaign is Beck Family Estates (Pty) Ltd trading as Steenberg (“the Promoter”), situated at Steenberg Road, Tokai, Cape Town, South Africa.

Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promotion Period

The Steenberg Website Launch Celebration comprises four promotional activities, each forming part of the overall campaign.

The promotional periods are as follows:

Promotion 1 – Online Wine Purchase Offer

Opens: Monday, 10 August 2026 at 00:01 (SAST)
Closes: Sunday, 16 August 2026 at 23:59 (SAST)

Promotion 2 – Spa Experience Competition

Opens: Monday, 17 August 2026 at 00:01 (SAST)
Closes: Sunday, 23 August 2026 at 23:59 (SAST)

Promotion 3 – Dining Experience Competition

Opens: Monday, 24 August 2026 at 00:01 (SAST)
Closes: Sunday, 30 August 2026 at 23:59 (SAST)

Promotion 4 – Hotel Booking Competition

Opens: Monday, 31 August 2026 at 00:01 (SAST)
Closes: Sunday, 6 September 2026 at 23:59 (SAST)

Entries received after the applicable closing date and time will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility

The promotion is open to permanent residents of the Republic of South Africa who are 18 years of age or older.

The following persons are not eligible to participate:

Directors and members of Beck Family Estates (Pty) Ltd;
Employees of Beck Family Estates (Pty) Ltd and its associated companies;
Agents, consultants and contractors;
Competition organisers and promotional agencies;
Prize sponsors and competition service providers;
Any person directly involved in the administration of the promotion; and
The immediate family members, spouses, life partners and business partners of any of the above.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants.

4. Promotion 1 – Online Wine Purchase Offer

During Promotion 1, every qualifying purchase of one (1) case of Steenberg wine made through the official Steenberg online wine shop will receive one (1) complimentary Steenberg Bubbly Stopper.

The complimentary gift:

is available while promotional stocks last;
will automatically be included with qualifying orders;
is limited to one (1) stopper per qualifying case purchased; and
may not be exchanged for cash, credit or any alternative product.

Should promotional stock become unavailable before the end of the promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the gift with another item of equal or greater value.

5. Promotion 2 – Spa Experience Competition

To enter:

Visit the Steenberg Spa section of the official Steenberg website.
Select the treatment you would most like to experience.
Return to the official Steenberg Facebook or Instagram competition post.
Comment with your chosen treatment.
Tag the person you would bring with you.

One winner will receive:

A Spa Experience for Two;
Two Holistic Touch Full Body Massages, our signature Swedish-style treatments; and
Access to the Thermal Suite.

The prize is subject to availability and must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of notification, unless otherwise agreed by the Promoter.

6. Promotion 3 – Dining Experience Competition

To enter:

Visit the restaurant pages on the Steenberg website.
Choose the dish you would most like to enjoy.
Return to the official Facebook or Instagram competition post.
Comment with your selected dish.
Tag the person you would bring.

One winner will receive either:

A Dining Experience for Two at Tryn, including a bottle of Steenberg wine; or
A Canvas Collection Lunch Experience for Two at Bistro Sixteen82.

The prize awarded will be determined by the Promoter.

Reservations remain subject to availability.

7. Promotion 4 – Hotel Booking Competition

Guests who make and retain a confirmed hotel reservation directly through the official Steenberg website during the promotional period will automatically be entered into the draw.

Bookings made through third-party booking platforms are excluded.

Cancelled bookings, no-shows or bookings refunded before the winner is drawn will not qualify.

Where a booking is amended, eligibility will be determined by the Promoter, provided that the booking remains valid during the promotional period.

One winner will receive:

One complimentary additional night’s accommodation in a Classic Room;
Breakfast for two at Tryn;
A Flagship Wine Tasting for two; and
Access to the Steenberg Spa Thermal Suite.

The complimentary night must be redeemed during Steenberg’s Green Season, being 1 May to 30 September, subject to availability.

The prize excludes transport, additional meals, beverages (unless specifically included), gratuities, incidental expenses and any other costs not expressly stated.

8. Winner Selection and Announcement

All valid entries will be entered into the applicable prize draw.

Prize draws will take place within ten (10) days following the close of the campaign and will be independently overseen by an independent auditor, attorney, advocate, accountant or another suitably qualified independent person in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 via Steenberg’s official Facebook and Instagram pages and will also be contacted directly using the contact details associated with their social media profile or hotel booking.

Should a winner fail to respond within seven (7) calendar days of notification, decline the prize or be found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a further draw to select an alternative winner.

The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. General Prize Conditions

All prizes:

are non-transferable;
are not refundable;
may not be exchanged for cash;
may not be sold or auctioned; and
may not be substituted by winners.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

10. Publicity

By accepting a prize, winners agree that the Promoter may use their first name, surname, social media handle, photographs or video footage relating to the promotion for publicity and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless the winner expressly declines such use.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit, exclude or restrict any rights or obligations arising under applicable South African law where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in this promotion or the acceptance or use of any prize, except where such liability arises from gross negligence, wilful misconduct or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Protection of Personal Information

The Promoter will process all personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Personal information collected through this promotion will be used solely for the purposes of:

administering the promotion;
verifying participant eligibility;
contacting winners;
awarding prizes; and
complying with legal obligations.

Competition entry information will not be used for direct marketing purposes unless entrants have separately and expressly consented to receive such communications.

Participants may request access to, correction of or deletion of their personal information in accordance with applicable legislation.

13. Changes to the Promotion

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the promotion where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary or where required by law.

Any amendments will be published on the official Steenberg website.

No amendment will unfairly prejudice participants who have already entered the promotion or winners who have already been awarded prizes.

14. Social Media Disclaimer

Promotions 2 and 3 are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

Participants acknowledge that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

17. Acceptance

By participating in any aspect of the Steenberg Website Launch Celebration Promotion, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
