We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tasting Room Manager to lead our tasting room team and ensure an outstanding guest experience that reflects the high standards of Steenberg Estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the tasting room team to provide exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive sales of wine and wine club memberships by creating memorable tasting experiences.
• Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance product knowledge and service delivery.
• Manage inventory, including stock control, ordering, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
• Collaborate with marketing and events teams to promote the tasting room and estate offerings.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including guest feedback and sales figures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing a tasting room or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge and passion for wine, with formal wine qualifications being an advantage (e.g., WSET or equivalent).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours as required.
• A customer-centric mindset with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
