About Us: Steenberg Spa, located at the luxurious Steenberg Hospitality in Tokai, Cape Town, offers a tranquil environment where guests can relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy a range of wellness treatments. We are looking for a passionate and professional Spa Receptionist/Backup Therapist to join our team and provide exceptional service to our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests to the spa with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Manage spa bookings, appointments, and cancellations using the spa’s booking system.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries, and provide information on spa services and packages.
• Handle payments, issue receipts, and manage daily cash-ups.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area.
• Assist spa therapists when needed by performing basic spa treatments such as facials, massages, manicures, and pedicures.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
• Maintain spa product knowledge and assist with retail sales.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a receptionist in a spa or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Certification in beauty therapy or massage therapy is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Proficient in using booking systems and handling administrative tasks.
• A friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for customer service.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
