Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, and execution.
- Lead by example, inspiring junior staff and ensuring the team delivers exceptional results during busy service periods.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new dishes, update menus, and create seasonal offerings.
- Oversee the daily kitchen operations, ensuring all areas are running smoothly, and staff are fully supported.
- Ensure consistency in quality and portion control, maintaining the high culinary standards of Bistro Sixteen82.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with regulations.
- Assist with stock management, including ordering, receiving, and rotating ingredients.
- Mentor and train junior chefs, offering guidance and support for professional development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Chef de Partie role within a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
- A formal culinary qualification is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Passion for food, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in food preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory control, and cost management.
- Ability to maintain composure and quality standards during peak service times.
