We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding experiences to our guests. We are currently looking for a dedicated and hardworking Sculler to join our dynamic kitchen team.
Job Description:
As a Sculler at Bistro Sixteen82/Tryn, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene will help ensure a smooth and efficient operation, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using both manual and automatic methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, counters, and equipment.
- Assist with the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the kitchen management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid South African ID or work permit.
