We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Manager to join our leadership team, driving financial performance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Steenberg Hospitality, ensuring sound financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to guide decision-making.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting updates.
- Monitor variances and implement corrective actions.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing working capital.
- Ensure efficient treasury management practices.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to drive financial discipline and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CIMA or CA(SA) preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of financial management experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, IFRS, and South African tax regulations.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- A proactive and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
