We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Manager to join our leadership team, driving financial performance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Steenberg Hospitality, ensuring sound financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to guide decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting updates.
  • Monitor variances and implement corrective actions.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
  • Manage cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing working capital.
  • Ensure efficient treasury management practices.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to drive financial discipline and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CIMA or CA(SA) preferred).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of financial management experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, IFRS, and South African tax regulations.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• A proactive and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
