Job Description:
As a Senior Chef de Partie at Tryn, you will play a key role in the kitchen operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and present high-quality dishes according to our menu specifications, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
- Station Management: Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of dishes during service.
- Menu Innovation: Contribute creative ideas to menu development, suggesting new dishes and techniques to enhance the culinary offerings.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular checks to ensure adherence to recipes and plating guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Training: Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, assisting in their skill development.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling stock levels, minimizing wastage, and ensuring efficient ingredient usage.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or a similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Culinary diploma or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor combinations, and plating aesthetics.
- Creativity and ability to contribute innovative ideas to the menu.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
